BOO!

~
No.

This is not a Halloween post.

It is a stupid word that has entered the Captain's vocabulary as of late, and I do NOT like it.

BOO!

Each time that I ask him to do something (of a normal sort, not like, say, when I ask him to solve the quadratic formula),

the Captain utters the following:

"BOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

If you are a fan of the movie "The Princess Bride", then start thinking of Carol Kane.

Filthy, disgusting, Carol Kane, married to Mad Max.

She catches him in that horrible lie, and all she can say is:

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

And he keeps trying to lie his way out of the lie.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

And finally, he fesses up.

But was it because he wanted to tell the truth, because it was the right thing to do?

Or was it just to get the "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" of Carol Kane to STOP?

I'll tell you what.

I'll do just about anything to make the "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" of Captain Jake Sparrow stop.

I have told him that if I hear THAT word again, he will get a Pow-Pow.

I have told him that if I THINK I hear that word again, he will get a Pow-Pow.

I have told him that if I SMELL that word again, he will get a Pow-Pow.

I think he understands.

We shall see.

I am soooo 'over' the "BOOO-ness", that I am all clevered-out related to ending this.

Can't even come up with a cliched joke.

THAT is how bad the Captain is with his BOOOOOOO-ness.

Let's hope today is the day that it stops!

Oh wait, he is once again late for school.

It is 905 am.

I won't tell you how late he is.

But he's pretty late.

He is having a horrifically bad morning.

Which means he will most likely have a horrifically bad day.

I am apologizing in advance to all of his teachers and classmates.

He is on his way.

As are my prayers for him and his behavior for the day!

  1. Poor Captain. My seven year old little brother's phrase is "what the hey?". It's equally irritating.

It's freeken this and freeken that! I hate to here that come from him because he says it atleast five times in a sentance. I know in his mind he is saying the other F word and replaceing it out loud with freeken so he gets soap when he says it out of anger 5 times!! lol

  5. At our house THE word is whatever. I swear sometimes if I had a penny for every time it is uttered in our home by any of our four kids we would be very well off! BTW thanks for the reference to my all time fave movie:) Is that the origin of the Captain's Booo-ing?

  6. I can even deal with Freakin!

    Not BOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

But now, he is so darn scared, he starts to say "BOOO", and swallows it, so now it's "BMFPPHF", with his hands folded across his chest.

I'm calling that one a W-I-N for Mama.

I can take a loser who says "BMFPPHF" under his breath any day of the week.

  7. Hi Tattoed.....
believe it or not, I don't think My Captain has ever seen the Princess Bride. I have begged the kids to watch it, cuz I know they'd love it, but they won't. Even Two Swords hasn't seen it. Shocking, I know! It is one of my top five of all time, AND, Santa is bringing us the newly released DVD version for Christmas, so maybe, just maybe, Mom will get her wish and in between hours and hours of Ralphie and his Red Ryder (which we ALL love), I can sneak in the "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to Die." ----"SIOP SAYING THAT.....WAAAAAA." Oh girl, you got me STARTED!

Anyway,..I have no earthly idea where the BOOOOOOOOOOO came from. Neither does his teacher. Which leads me to believe it came from the great evil Satan - TELEVISION. UGH.
